These findings show that the patterns of abuse among women are vastly different from those found in men. The treatment of women for drug addiction is also different. In response, research was conducted and women’s rehab centers were created. Because women’s recovery is different, so are their patterns.
A cross-sectional survey of women on the subject showed that those women who were born after World War II had a greater tendency to become addicted to alcohol. Men, however, did not show any increase. Addiction in women can be associated with a variety of risks. However, the main risk that is prevalent to most women is being exploited.
Women face greater risks of attack, including various related threats. The weight difference between men & women makes it easier for women than men to drink or use drugs. There are also other factors that increase women’s vulnerability to serious diseases. Many times, the growth years can lead to hindrances. The risk for brain damage, memory loss and other problems is higher in women than it is in men. Women and men are not the same, so they cannot be measured on the one scale.
